Whilst completing my degree in three dimensional design, I began specialising in ceramics, particularly slip casting and mould making.
In my first year of leaving university I took a space at Blaze studio, before setting up my own studio in Barton Hill and then going on to set up In Bristol Studios and the fully equipped ceramics studio there in.
My area of interest lies in colour of the ceramic body and the addition of surface decoration through either transfers or line making. I prefer to use simple forms, the models made on a plaster lathe, for this body of work.
I also enjoy collecting unusual objects, usually found at car boot sales and in charity shops and casting the forms to then create new pieces of work.
